5 Steps: Kitty Cat Makeup

For the eyes, I really wanted that "cat-eye" look... obviously, but I wanted it to be simple. I used scotch tape to create that dramatic line and used warm browns and blacks for the crease and outer corner and a pretty gold for the center of the lid. You can't go wrong with a cat eye like this so play around with colors and do what you think looks good!

Step 1: Apply the nose
I used a black eyeliner pencil (anything will do) to line the shape of the nose that I wanted before I filled it in. Lining everything first will allow you to fix anything before it gets too dramatic! For filling it in, I used a black gel liner to ensure that it would be solid black. I usually use Maybelline's gel liner in blackest black but I was out so I found one around my house by Mary Kay which I actually really liked because it's not super creamy (which is good for halloween makeup because you don't want that black smudging everywhere.)

Step 2: Apply white above your lip, below the nose
For the white, I used Ben Nye's character wheel in red, black and white and I just applied a generous amount with my finger allowing for the perfect blend.

Step 3: Apply a black line below the nose, dots for the whiskers, and on the upper lip
Sorry the dots are so subtle in this picture, they looked great in real life but you get the idea. Again using a black pencil first, then the gel liner, I drew a line from the center of my nose meeting the center of my upper lip and blended. I chose to fill in my upper lip only because I thought that it would be more realistic. I really liked the way it turned out!

Step 4: Apply white in your highlight area in the center of the face (forgot the chin in this picture)
Again, going for something more realistic, I added white on the center of the face using my fingers. It's hard to see in the picture but I used a flat concealer brush and feathered out the lines making it look like fur.

Step 5: Apply color to the rest of the face and add your whiskers
I used Anastasia Beverly Hills darkest shade in her contour kit mixed with a little, and I mean a little, black eyeshadow (any will do, I used a black shadow in my Lorac Pro palette) and applied that over the rest of my face. For the whiskers, have fun with it! I didn't want mine to be super perfect and straight so as you can see some of them are shorter and more wavy then others.

There is no right or wrong with this look so be creative and have fun with it!

DIY Paper Plate Ghost Craft.

How cute is this paper plate ghost?!
My girls had a blast making them and chasing each other around the house with them afterward!

Here's what you need:
*White paper plates
*White streamers cut into 18-24-inch strips.
*Black construction paper for the eyes and the mouth.
*White paper used to make the hands and arms.
*Glue
*Tape (not pictured).
*Ribbon to hang them up when you are finished.

1: Cut out your eyes and mouth. I found circular objects to trace so that my circles were nicely shaped.  I made the mouth bigger than the eyes but you can do whatever you want!

2: Trace your child's hands on white paper and then when you are cutting it out just cut straight down where the thumb and pinky end so that you can add on little arms.

3: Glue the eyes and mouth onto the paper plate.

4: Either tape or glue the arms to each side of the plate (I found that tape worked better and was less messy since the kids where doing it).

5: Tape the streamers to the back of the plate making sure there is plenty of streamer still hanging.

6: Attach the string/ribbon to the plate so that you can hang them when they are finished playing with them. I just taped my ribbon on the plates really good but you could hole punch and tie them on as well.

*We hung our ghosts from the ceiling fan in the kitchen which I must admit is a tad creepy at night when I am going in to the kitchen in the middle of the night with no lights on!

Happy Ghost Making!

Tubby Todd Goodness!

(They recently changed the bottle labels on the lotion, wash, and bubble bath so these are a tad outdated, but they are still the same products.)

I am so excited to tell you about my very favorite skin products for my littles.
Seriously I get excited just thinking about them!
First of all let me back up a bit and just give you a little background info on the company Tubby Todd.  It is a fairly new company that sells 100% natural skin products. And don't kid yourself they aren't just for littles; in fact, they work wonders on skin of all ages!
One of the reasons I love these products is because I love knowing that I am putting completely natural ingredients on my little's skin. I also love that on Tubby Todd's website you can read about each ingredient and why it is beneficial to use on your skin. You can find that list HERE. I also love that these products literally work miracles on skin that is sensitive, dry,and prone to eczema.

Keep reading and I will share with you how I use each product on my littles.
Bubble Bath: We don't use this every day. But my girls absolutely love it! It smells citrusy (simply divine), the bubbles are plentiful, and it leaves their skin feeling super smooth.
Hair and Body Wash: This wash is amazing. A little goes a long way. We put a pea sized amount on a loofah, lather it up and scrub those little sweet bodies. We literally cover them from head to toe! The smell of this is honestly the best. It smells like a sweet, fruity lavender. Ahh! You'll love it!
Dream Cream: One word for this stuff...PERFECTION! Seriously. It's hard to pick which one of these is my favorite but if I had to I would say the dream cream. The smell is pure heaven. Sweet, minty, and clean! Those words don't even do it justice so trust me when I say you'll love it! I use this every night and morning on my littles' faces and hands. It is a little thicker than the lotion so it is perfect for those sweet cheeks and hands that tend to get a little dryer. I also absolutely love this for me. I wash my hands more than I can count each day so this is my go-to lotion for added moisture.
Lotion: The lotion smells exactly like the wash which we absolutely love of course. So getting to rub it all over my babies after their bath is the best! I use this lotion all over their skin after bath time. Back to the smell, as much as you want to get those kids in bed at night you may hold on to them just a little longer because of how good they smell :)
All Over Ointment: This ointment doesn't really have a smell but it is extremely thick making it perfect for those dry patches/eczema! My oldest little girl gets quite bad eczema on the inside of her arms, wrists, and the backs of her legs behind her knees. I apply this cream directly to those areas and rub it in. I do this after bath time and then right before I go to bed when she is already asleep so it has all night long to soak in and heal those sensitive areas. It works wonders!

They have one more product that I have not tried yet, their baby fresh spray. I am itching to try it and if it is anything like the other products I know I'll love it!

As I'm sure you know by now we are all about Tubby Todd over here.  They are honestly the best products on the planet. One of my favorite times of the day is bath time because we get to use all our tubby products. And sometimes during the day when I have withdrawals I'll go open the bottles to take a few whiffs for that added energy :) Seriously, it's that amazing!

You can buy these products and find more information/reviews about their amazingness HERE.

We are doing a $30 Tubby Todd credit giveaway over on our instagram @puckerupstyle!
So be sure to head over there to enter!! If you win you will get to pick two products plus have a little leftover to put towards a third!

DIY Trick Or Treat Pail.

Growing up my siblings and I always used the little round, orange pumpkin pails to put our candy in when we went trick or treating.
Personally, I don't think they are the cutest but I was still sentimental to them and wanted my littles to use them as well. I just had to figure out a way to make them cuter.
Thank goodness for fabric and modge podge!

Here's what you need:
*A cheap pumpkin pail. You can find them at Wal-mart or Target for seriously $1!
* 3/4-1 yard of fabric. (I would rather have leftovers than not enough!)
*Modge podge

Cut the fabric into strips using the pumpkin to measure the length and then about 1 inch for width. Then modge podge those strips onto the "ugly" orange pumpkin until it is completely covered. I made sure the bottom was covered but didn't do anything on the inside.

If you aren't familiar with modge podge it's super easy. You just lay the strips over the pumpkin, dip a foam brush into the modge podge, and brush it all over the fabric. It dries completely clear!

I then cut a smaller strip and just wrapped it around the handle. I also cut up some super small strips and tied them on to the ends to add a little extra fringe!

I absolutely love the way it turned out and can't believe how easy and cheap it was to make.

Happy trick or treat pail making!
