The 3 best products for dry skin.

It's wintertime and we all know what that means: DRY SKIN...

But, have no fear friends I have finally found a solution. Well, technically three!

I am so excited to share with you my three favorite products to use in treating and most importantly preventing dry skin.

Flora Bodycare's Natural Body Scrubs

We have seriously ranted and raved about these body scrubs from Flora Body care and I'm sure we'll continue to because they are the best ever! 

But honestly one of the best ways you can prevent dry skin is by exfoliating. Exfoliating removes the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin making it easier for your moisturizing products to really get in there and take care of your skin. So pretty much if you exfoliate regularly you will have healthy smooth skin! Who doesn't want that?!

One of the things I love most about this product is that it is made with 100% natural ingredients. I also love how gentle it is on my skin. I seriously use it from head to toe. 

TIP: Try and exfoliate your entire body 2 times a week. This will be key in preventing dry skin!

Tubby Todd Dream Cream

If you have not heard of Tubby Todd you simply must check them out. They literally have the best products on the planet! I mostly use their products on my little ones but I have found that they work just as well on me, so why not join in on the fun?!

This dream cream is probably my favorite! It is the smoothest yummiest smelling cream ever! Seriously though, the smell is pure heaven! 

If you are a mom/germ freak like me, you probably wash your hands more times a day than you can count. This of course drys the crap out of your hands. So I have found that this cream is key in helping my hands stay nice and smooth despite the constant hand washing taking place.

TIP: Apply to your hands every time you wash your hands. Or at least as often throughout the day as you can remember! I also like to keep one in my diaper bag to use when I am out and about. HEMPZ lotion

I am absolutely obsessed with this lotion. It is so soft and creamy and there are so many different yummy smells to choose from. Honestly I want to buy them all! One of the things I love most about this product is that a little bit goes a long way. It may seem a bit expensive for just your everyday moisturizer but I promise it's worth it. And it seriously lasts forever. I think I have had this bottle for 7 months and I still have a decent amount left. 

TIP: This is the lotion that I put all over my body after I shower and also just when I need a little refreshing!

Hey guys! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Halloween! Thank you so much for all your sweet comments on our Halloween posts! 

Today I'm blogging about my skin care routine and all the products I use. My skin took a beating after all the Halloween makeup so I thought I would share how I nurse my skin back to health! 

STEP 1

Image Vital C hydrating facial cleanser

 

This face wash has helped my skin so much these past couple of months. Usually, I am EXTREMELY dry. I've noticed that my skin has been getting the hydration it needs because of the oil it produces throughout the day, which is something I've never had before. This cleanser also helps remove any makeup residue I have that makeup wipes don't pick up.

STEP 2

Image ILUMA Intense Brightening Creme 

I am obsessed with this. I have pink undertones, (which I hate). So sometimes I struggle with uneven skin tones. This brightener helps me so much to achieve that healthy, even glow that I want. It leaves my skin feeling smooth like a baby's bottom and brightens my skin making me look more awake, or in my case, alive! This will help with hyper pigmentation and age spots!

STEP 3

Image Ormedic balancing bio-peptide cream.

This product is my holy grail!!!! It's organic, which who doesn't love that?! And the smell is delicious! No really, my face smells like bubble gum, cotton candy! I use this product as my daily and nightly moisturizer. It contains organic Japanese green tea, aloe vera, chamomile and grape seed to restore and balance the skin.

Step 4

Image Vital C hydrating A C E serum

I use this product every single night right before I go to bed. It contains vitamin A, C, and E to help with hydration. It also helps reduce signs of anti-aging. 

STEP 5 (once a week)

GlamGlow Tingling and Exfoliating Mud Mask

I only use this product once a week because it is very intense. This mud mask leaves my skin radiant and glowing. It's used to work with the body's natural moisturizing collagen to provide gentle resurfacing exfoliation. It will help to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer. It will provide tighter skin texture and help tighten pores. It will provide a more radiant appearance and will absorb impurities without removing the body's natural oils! Every time I wear this mask I can feel my skin tightening everywhere. I can visually see the mask working and fighting to help with my impurities. To say I'm in love would be an understatement.

Most of these products are from Image Skin Care. The salon I work at carries this line, so I'm able to get a discount. These products are pricey. I did find some links through Amazon that offer some discounts.

 I've noticed a tremendous difference in my skin. There are a million different product lines out there that are amazing as well. I've tried inexpensive products that I love and work for me too! I just wanted to share with you guys what I'm currently using and why I love them. Yes I have makeup on in this picture, but its not edited. I used the natural lighting so you are able to see my skin in real light. This picture was taken about 2 weeks ago when I was heavily dedicated to my skin and trying to drink more water. I definitely noticed a difference. Tubby Todd Goodness!

I am so excited to tell you about my very favorite skin products for my littles.

Seriously I get excited just thinking about them!

First of all let me back up a bit and just give you a little background info on the company Tubby Todd.  It is a fairly new company that sells 100% natural skin products. And don't kid yourself they aren't just for littles; in fact, they work wonders on skin of all ages!

One of the reasons I love these products is because I love knowing that I am putting completely natural ingredients on my little's skin. I also love that on Tubby Todd's website you can read about each ingredient and why it is beneficial to use on your skin. You can find that list HERE. I also love that these products literally work miracles on skin that is sensitive, dry,and prone to eczema. 

Keep reading and I will share with you how I use each product on my littles.

Bubble Bath: We don't use this every day. But my girls absolutely love it! It smells citrusy (simply divine), the bubbles are plentiful, and it leaves their skin feeling super smooth.

Hair and Body Wash: This wash is amazing. A little goes a long way. We put a pea sized amount on a loofah, lather it up and scrub those little sweet bodies. We literally cover them from head to toe! The smell of this is honestly the best. It smells like a sweet, fruity lavender. Ahh! You'll love it!

Dream Cream: One word for this stuff...PERFECTION! Seriously. It's hard to pick which one of these is my favorite but if I had to I would say the dream cream. The smell is pure heaven. Sweet, minty, and clean! Those words don't even do it justice so trust me when I say you'll love it! I use this every night and morning on my littles' faces and hands. It is a little thicker than the lotion so it is perfect for those sweet cheeks and hands that tend to get a little dryer. I also absolutely love this for me. I wash my hands more than I can count each day so this is my go-to lotion for added moisture.

Lotion: The lotion smells exactly like the wash which we absolutely love of course. So getting to rub it all over my babies after their bath is the best! I use this lotion all over their skin after bath time. Back to the smell, as much as you want to get those kids in bed at night you may hold on to them just a little longer because of how good they smell :)

All Over Ointment: This ointment doesn't really have a smell but it is extremely thick making it perfect for those dry patches/eczema! My oldest little girl gets quite bad eczema on the inside of her arms, wrists, and the backs of her legs behind her knees. I apply this cream directly to those areas and rub it in. I do this after bath time and then right before I go to bed when she is already asleep so it has all night long to soak in and heal those sensitive areas. It works wonders!

They have one more product that I have not tried yet, their baby fresh spray. I am itching to try it and if it is anything like the other products I know I'll love it!

As I'm sure you know by now we are all about Tubby Todd over here.  They are honestly the best products on the planet. One of my favorite times of the day is bath time because we get to use all our tubby products. And sometimes during the day when I have withdrawals I'll go open the bottles to take a few whiffs for that added energy :) Seriously, it's that amazing!

My Ride Or Die Products.

I am someone that absolutely loves to try new products! I feel like I'm always on the hunt for something new and something I will fall in love with. Well, the time has come where not only do I love some products I've discovered, but I really can't live without them. I thought I would list my top 10 products and explain how they've impressed me and why I love them.

MY TOP TEN:

1. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes- This product is an oldie but a goodie. I've been using these wipes for about 4 years now and they're still my number 1. I feel like they get rid of most of my makeup, so then my face wash can do the rest. There is no makeup residue left over after I wash my face and the wipes are so moist! Plus they're at any local grocery store which makes it easy to keep stocked up!
2. Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette- This palette is amazing in every way possible! The shadows are extremely pigmented and blend very seamlessly. All the colors are neutral shades so the looks you can create are endless! The shadows are matte as well so they will work for everybody. If you're a freelance makeup artist this will be your go-to palette. I have loved using it for my brides! 
3. Loreal Infallible Makeup Setting Spray- I've recently discovered this and so far I'm very impressed with it. It holds my makeup together really well & sets my foundation perfectly to a semi-dewy, semi-matte finish. It's refreshing and smells good too. (I'm a sucker for good smelling products!)
4. Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation- Basically this foundation is my life! It's full coverage, but not heavy. I have been struggling with oily skin the last couple months and this has helped so much for me to keep my skin from looking like grease. I've been applying it with my Beauty Blender and the two together make for a match made in heaven! 
5. Loreal Lumi Light Infusing Primer- This is probably my most favorite product right now.This primer is applied to your face before you apply foundation. Primers make your foundation blend more evenly and make the skin appear brighter!! You can get any primer for oily, dry, or combinations of both skin types. I love this particular primer because of its beautiful natural glow it gives my skin. It's extremely sheer with a touch of shimmer to make the skin look radiant. Who doesn't want skin that looks beautiful?
6. Mary-Loumanizer by TheBalm- My all time favorite illuminator! I literally put this all over my face! I place it on my cheekbones, inner corner on my eyes, brow bone, and sometimes even a little on my bottom lip. By doing this, the light attracts those areas making my skin look like it's glowing and bringing out features that I want to pop! I recommend this product to everyone because I'm seriously obsessed with it. 
7. ColourPop Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks- Liquid lipsticks are my jam! I love them because they dry matte and they're long lasting. I can eat, kiss my hubby, and talk without it coming off. I probably reapply every 7 hours!! I love this particular brand because you CAN'T beat the price, 6$!! Most liquid lipsticks start around 16$ and up! My go-to/favorite color is "Trap".
8. MaskCARA IIID Foundation Palette. I use this palette every single day on my face. I use it for my highlight, contour, and blush. The formula of this palette is remarkable. I have never felt a creamier product that blends like butter. The finish result brightens your skin making everything look so beautiful and natural. I use my beauty blender to blend it all in. It makes getting ready easier and faster because of how creamy it is. I have been enjoying this palette so much and have noticed a difference in the way my skin looks and feels. 
9. DonnaKaran Deodorant- I'll keep this simple, how complex can deodorant get?? Basically this is the ONLY deodorant that helps with all the glorious things our armpits do. I love the smell, and even if I do sweat, the smell is very powdery and girly. So I still feel like myself and I don't get self-concious. Side note: I know this is a ridiculous price for deodorant, but when I say I've tried everything, I have! This is my 8th year using this stuff and I'm still in love with it. That has to mean something, right?? (:
10. A Thousand Wishes Perfume- I have been getting so many compliments when I'm wearing this perfume! The smell is heavenly and long lasting! It's from Bath and Body Works! You also have plenty of options if you want the perfume, body mist, lotion, etc. I chose the actual perfume because it has alcohol in it which is what makes it last longer vs. the body mist. I feel like its perfect for all seasons and is appropriate for any event!

Flora Body Care Scrub Review.

We are so excited to share with you guys our new favorite body scrubs! There are three different kinds: Coffee Hazelnut, Vanilla Coconut, and Mint Cacao. The ingredients are all-natural and target cellulite, stretch marks, psoriasis, eczema, acne, and other skin conditions. 

All you have to do is grab a few small handfuls and rub it onto your entire body in circular motions. Some of you may be asking "Can I use it on my face?" OF COURSE YOU CAN!
