Glamorous, Smokey Makeup.

I love nothing more than a sultry, smokey, sexy, makeup look for when I have a special event, fun date night out, or even just for fun. I understand that it can seem like a lot of makeup, (okay maybe it is) but ladies HAVE FUN! Take a step out of your comfort zone & try something new. You never know, you could end up loving a new look! I'll be honest, I was scared to try new things because I would look at pictures of other women and think to myself, "I will never look like them." And I'm glad I don't look like them, because how boring would that be if we all looked the same. In reality, we are all beautiful in our own special, unique, way and we need to embrace it more. Alright, enough with the pep talk & back to makeup!
I have a few must-have products that I use when I create a bolder look like this. My favorite palette that I used was the Sexy palette by Too Faced. You can find it HERE. This palette has a beautiful range of black, brown, and purple tones that you can use to achieve whatever smokey eye you want. It's my security blanket to contour and highlight my face especially when doing a little bit more.
My contour and highlight essentials are the cream and powder contour kits by ANASTASIA Beverly HillsIt's important to set your concealer with powder so it doesn't crease! My other go to favorite product is my Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW pomade in the shade "ebony." There are 11 shades to choose from but, the one I used is the second darkest shade.
When I wear darker makeup on my eyes, I prefer to do a nude lip. My favorite nude lipstick is the NYX matte lipstick in the shade "nude." And my favorite NYX lip liner in the shade "nude beige." The 2 make a perfect pair! My lashes are from Ulta in a London brand that I can't remember.
However, lashes are completely up to you! You don't even have to wear them if you don't want to. I chose to wear them because they added a little more pizazz to my look!
The last  product that I used and seriously can't live without is my gorgeous highlighter called Mary-Loumanizer by THE BALM cosmetics. It is my ride or die. It is literally the most shimmery, perfect, highlight in the world! I wear mine on the highest point of my cheek bones, my Cupid's bow, and the very tip of my nose.
I hope you take a look at these products and that you found a few helpful tips a long the way!

Darling lace yoke dress for your little girl.

Dress: Gap || Shoes: Target (Love THESE as well) || Bracelet: Bebe Bijoux Boutique || Tulle Bow: Dear Lizzie (I love THIS headband too)
Gap always has amazing sales! I never ever buy anything full price. Right now you can get this dress for 35% off! It is selling out super fast so grab yours while you can. But just in case it does sell out THIS one is every bit as cute! I bought her bow in the store so it probably isn't available anymore, but any off white ribbon would be darling.

Simple.

Top: Express  (found mine on the sale rack so this one is different) || Jeans: American Eagle (I've had these jeans for so long but here are some that look similar) || Shoes: Böhme (no longer available at Böhme but I found some look a likes at Nordstrom Rack) || Watch: Wet Seal (without Leopard)
Lets talk about these jeans for a second. I have NEVER owned a pair of American Eagle jeans that I didn't like. They always fit perfectly and their prices are unbeatable because they last forever. I've had these jeans for a good 3-4 years and they still look brand new.
Um.. hello booties! I was all about the ankle boots this last season and I was seriously buying them left and right. I was getting tired of wearing my knee high boots and it's a rare occasion when you'll see me in a pair of flats, unless they are sandals. These boots are the perfect color to pair with any outfit.

Kick It Up A Notch.

I'm one of those people who just LOVES the color black. It's an obsession of mine and in my opinion you can never have enough black in your closet. However it's important for me to accent my clothes with color, mainly jewelry, makeup, and styling my hair to take it to that next level. I absolutely love using my infra-shine straightener to achieve these curls. You can get that HERE! And of course I can't live without my Sea Salt Spray by TIGI in the catwalk series. It gives my hair the perfect texture  for curls. You can get that product HERE.
As for my makeup, I don't like to go overboard with color, but pops of it really brighten up my look.
And with spring and summer being right around the corner, don't be afraid to use a color that you maybe wouldn't wear everyday! It's the time of year to get away with it!
For my makeup I've been using my MAC warm/neutral palette. It has all my favorite transition shades, shimmer shades, and matte shades as well. It's been my go-to since the moment I purchased it. You can not purchase this online however there is a similar palette that I own and love called the Chocolate Bar palette by TooFaced cosmetics and it has a lot of the same shades as the Mac palette. Plus it's cheaper, bonus right!? You can check it out HERE

Like I said, I love to accent my wardrobe with jewelry! And with the color black you literally can get away with anything. I have been loving the chunky necklaces and how they can dress up the most simple t-shirt. I also love a necklace that is going to turn heads, and is more unique than the average Joe. I get so many compliments on this necklace. I got this beauty at H&M however, it is currently  not on their website but I still see it in stores! I found a necklace that isn't identical but it's bold. It definitely makes a statement and can go with anything!
Take a look HERE!

Pink, Leopard & Sparkles.

Pink, Leopard nails with a pop of sparkle! Who doesn't love glitter? Like I always say, "Glitter makes everything better." These cute, girly nails are perfect to get you in the mood for summer. Try them out, add your own twist and let me know what you think!

Warm & Natural.

Going all out on your makeup can be so exciting but I love toning it down a notch and wearing something natural. No false lashes, no winged liner, and no bright colors. This warm, natural look is super easy and only takes minutes. ANYONE can pull this look off.
Products Used
Lorac Pro Palette - Taupe and Sable for the inner and outer corner of the eye lid (not on the center of the lid) and blend it up into the crease, also used for the lower lash line. Espresso used along the lash line blended, LT. Bronze used on the center of the lid
Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette - Purrr for my highlighter
Mac Cosmetics Lipstick - Styled in Sepia
The Lorac Pro Palette is my go-to palette for neutrals. The colors are so pigmented and there is a row of mattes and shimmers.

Teddy Bear toast.

What little doesn't love a slice of teddy bear toast for lunch?!

Here's what you do.
Spread some peanut butter on top of your bread.
Slice some bananas for the ears and nose.
And grab a few blueberries for the eyes and nose.

I didn't do this but it would be super yummy to drizzle a little honey on top :)

Happy teddy bear toast eating!

German Pancakes.

 My family calls them mountains.
But most probably know them as German pancakes.
Anyways, they are simply amazing and make such a yummy breakfast.
Even dinner occasionally:)
So here's how you make them.
You will need:
6 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1/2 t. salt
5 T. butterMelt the butter in a glass pan or really any pan. About the size of a 9x13. Just stick it right in the oven while you are waiting for it to preheat to 450 degress F.  Whip the other ingredients together.  It is better to do this by hand because you want it to be lumpy! As soon as the butter is melted pour the mixture in and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the mountains form and are slightly golden brown.

Serve immediately with syrup, powdered sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top, and of course any desired fruit toppings.
Enjoy!

Butterfly toast.

Getting littles to eat can be quite the trick as I am sure you mothers have noticed.
With that being said, I have become that desperate mother that will do anything to get my little ones to eat. And what better way to do that than creating fun, cute little things out of what normally would be somewhat boring foods.

This little snack is as simple as it gets.

Here's what you will need:
A butterfly cookie cutter. I got mine at Fred Myer.
A piece of bread.
3 small pieces of twizzler licorice.
6 blueberries

Just seeing the looks on my little's faces when they saw their butterflies completely melted my heart.
So congratulations to me, I will now be literally decorating my children's foods!

Broiled grapefruit with a side of whipped cream.

I found this amazing recipe for broiled grapefruit HERE.

You simply cut a grapefruit in half and loosen up all the little pieces of grapefruit with a knife.
Place them in a baking dish and drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon. Top it off with some sliced bananas and strawberries, (or really any fruit) and broil for 4-6 minutes.
For the finishing touch throw a dallop of whipped cream on the top or on the side. Because who doesn't love a little cream with their fruit!

Enjoy!

Styled In Sepia.

Styled in Sepia is hands down one of my favorite lipsticks. I love wearing this color especially in the fall and winter but if you feel you can pull it off in the spring and summer, go for it! There are no rules! I purchased this lipstick at Mac Cosmetics and unfortunately they discontinued it. I searched around for a color that I thought might be similar. HERE is a lipstick I found at Mac Cosmetics called Fresh Brew. It's a creamy coffee color that is a bit lighter but is beautiful and would definitely give you a similar look.
