10 Steps: 5 Minute Makeup.

EVERYBODY needs to have a 5 minute makeup look! For some girls, that might be all the time they have to do their makeup. I love this look because it's so fast and easy that anyone has time for it and can pull this off. I'm a firm believer that EVERY girl should feel comfortable in her own, natural skin but with that being said, there's no harm in adding a touch of makeup to enhance that natural beauty.
HERE'S WHAT I DO:
1. Apply a face primer. I love using NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator as my primer because it is lightweight and gives skin a refreshed glow and a beautiful highlight.
2. Apply foundation. Because this look is very natural, instead of going with a heavy coverage foundation, I like using my e.l.f. Cosmetics Studio BB Cream. I'm obsessed with how creamy and soft this bb cream is and I absolutely love that there is SPF in it. Everyday before my makeup, I always put on sunscreen so this BB Cream allows me to skip a step (Bonus: Skipping steps means a faster application ;) ) I use a foundation brush to apply this or my fingers and I apply it ALL OVER my face including my under eye area, so I don't need to apply concealer, and my eyelid because I won't be wearing any shadow. However, if you have any imperfections, you can still use a concealer to better hide them. For example: dark circles, acne, or any redness around the face.
3. Curl your lashes. Curling your lashes is a very important step because it really opens your eyes. Make sure you curl your lashes BEFORE applying mascara to prevent your lashes from getting stuck and/or pulled out.
4. Apply mascara. Any mascara will work. I'm always using a different mascara but the one I'm using now is called Monster Lash by Femme Couture. I apply a generous amount on my upper lashes doing several coats and a light amount on my lower lashes because I'm not a huge fan of dramatic lower lashes.
5. Fill in your brows. As always, I use an angle brush to do this and my all time favorite brow shadow, Brun my Mac Cosmetics. To speed up this process, I don't go all out sculpting my brows. I just lightly add some powder as needed and comb through them keeping them simple and natural. Filling in your brows is extremely important because it really frames the face.
6. Add a highlight to your inner corner of the eye and brow bone. Any light color will do but my personal favorite at the moment is called Vanilla by TIGI Cosmetics. Highlighting these areas really helps brighten and draw attention to your eyes.
7. Apply bronzer. My all time favorite bronzer is Fawn and Havana mixed together in Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. I apply my bronzer on the sides of my face (contour/blush area), on my forehead, chin and lightly on the nose. Really anywhere the sun would hit leaving a nice, natural sun-kissed effect.
8. Apply a highlight. My favorite highlighter at the moment is Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick Compact in Beige. It is so gorgeous and leaves the most perfect glow! I apply this on my cheekbone (highest part of the cheek, under the eye), slightly on the forehead, down the bridge of my nose, cupids bow, and chin.
9. Apply your favorite gloss. Soooo.... I forgot to add my favorite gloss but anything will work! I like using a natural lip pencil like Natural by NYX Cosmetics to lightly line my lips to add definition. I even like the natural lip I have in this picture. Just remember that it's important to keep your lips hydrated and moisturized so even a little chapstick wouldn't be a bad idea.
10. Last but not least, set your makeup. The setting spray that I love to use is Dewy Finish by NYX Cosmetics. This spray is lightweight and keeps my makeup looking dewy and fresh all day long.

"Makeup should never be used to hide yourself. It should be used to enhance your natural beauty."

Casual With A Little Edge.

Lately, I have been loving comfortable T-shirts! They are so dang easy to work with whether I'm wanting something super casual, or something a little more done up. This time of year I always go towards more edgier styles. It's probably because we say goodbye to all the bright summer colors and welcome the olive greens, plums, and my personal favorite, black. Edge is fun because you feel a little more bold and sexy. I don't know what it is about wearing all black, but I'm most confident in it (who am I kidding, we all know its the most slimming color.) With this particular outfit, all I'm wearing is skinny jeans and a t-shirt and the black booties and floppy hat were added to help make this outfit a bit dressier and edgier.

Hat: ALDO || T-Shirt: TARGET || Skinny Jeans: PACSUN || Booties: H&M (old, similar HERE||  Watch: NIXON  || Bangle: Forever 21 (similar HERE)

Sorry for all the photos! My hubby did a pretty great job! (: I hope you enjoyed this look and make sure to check out the links!

My Ride Or Die Products.

I am someone that absolutely loves to try new products! I feel like I'm always on the hunt for something new and something I will fall in love with. Well, the time has come where not only do I love some products I've discovered, but I really can't live without them. I thought I would list my top 10 products and explain how they've impressed me and why I love them.

MY TOP TEN:
  1. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes- This product is an oldie but a goodie. I've been using these wipes for about 4 years now and they're still my number 1. I feel like they get rid of most of my makeup, so then my face wash can do the rest. There is no makeup residue left over after I wash my face and the wipes are so moist! Plus they're at any local grocery store which makes it easy to keep stocked up!
  2. Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette- This palette is amazing in every way possible! The shadows are extremely pigmented and blend very seamlessly. All the colors are neutral shades so the looks you can create are endless! The shadows are matte as well so they will work for everybody. If you're a freelance makeup artist this will be your go-to palette. I have loved using it for my brides!
  3. Loreal Infallible Makeup Setting Spray- I've recently discovered this and so far I'm very impressed with it. It holds my makeup together really well & sets my foundation perfectly to a semi-dewy, semi-matte finish. It's refreshing and smells good too. (I'm a sucker for good smelling products!)
  4. Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation- Basically this foundation is my life! It's full coverage, but not heavy. I have been struggling with oily skin the last couple months and this has helped so much for me to keep my skin from looking like grease. I've been applying it with my Beauty Blender and the two together make for a match made in heaven!
  5. Loreal Lumi Light Infusing Primer- This is probably my most favorite product right now. This primer is applied to your face before you apply foundation. Primers make your foundation blend more evenly and make the skin appear brighter!! You can get any primer for oily, dry, or combinations of both skin types. I love this particular primer because of its beautiful natural glow it gives my skin. It's extremely sheer with a touch of shimmer to make the skin look radiant. Who doesn't want skin that looks beautiful?
  6. Mary-Loumanizer by TheBalm- My all time favorite illuminator! I literally put this all over my face! I place it on my cheekbones, inner corner on my eyes, brow bone, and sometimes even a little on my bottom lip. By doing this, the light attracts those areas making my skin look like it's glowing and bringing out features that I want to pop! I recommend this product to everyone because I'm seriously obsessed with it.
  7. ColourPop Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks- Liquid lipsticks are my jam! I love them because they dry matte and they're long lasting. I can eat, kiss my hubby, and talk without it coming off. I probably reapply every 7 hours!! I love this particular brand because you CAN'T beat the price, 6$!! Most liquid lipsticks start around 16$ and up! My go-to/favorite color is "Trap".
  8. MaskCARA IIID Foundation Palette. I use this palette every single day on my face. I use it for my highlight, contour, and blush. The formula of this palette is remarkable. I have never felt a creamier product that blends like butter. The finish result brightens your skin making everything look so beautiful and natural. I use my beauty blender to blend it all in. It makes getting ready easier and faster because of how creamy it is. I have been enjoying this palette so much and have noticed a difference in the way my skin looks and feels.
  9. DonnaKaran Deodorant- I'll keep this simple, how complex can deodorant get?? Basically this is the ONLY deodorant that helps with all the glorious things our armpits do. I love the smell, and even if I do sweat, the smell is very powdery and girly. So I still feel like myself and I don't get self-concious. Side note: I know this is a ridiculous price for deodorant, but when I say I've tried everything, I have! This is my 8th year using this stuff and I'm still in love with it. That has to mean something, right?? (:
  10. A Thousand Wishes Perfume- I have been getting so many compliments when I'm wearing this perfume! The smell is heavenly and long lasting! It's from Bath and Body Works! You also have plenty of options if you want the perfume, body mist, lotion, etc. I chose the actual perfume because it has alcohol in it which is what makes it last longer vs. the body mist. I feel like its perfect for all seasons and is appropriate for any event!
As of now, these products have truly impressed me. Some of these may not work for you, but I hope you found something that caught your attention and worth giving a try! I would absolutely love your feedback! Maybe even a giveaway on a certain product?? (; Stay tuned!!

Flora Body Care Scrub Review.

We are so excited to share with you guys our new favorite body scrubs! There are three different kinds: Coffee Hazelnut, Vanilla Coconut, and Mint Cacao. The ingredients are all-natural and target cellulite, stretch marks, psoriasis, eczema, acne, and other skin conditions.

All you have to do is grab a few small handfuls and rub it onto your entire body in circular motions. Some of you may be asking "Can I use it on my face?" OF COURSE YOU CAN! Once the scrub is on your body let it sit for 5-10 minutes so that all the ingredients have time to soak into your skin. Rinse and enjoy your fresh smooth skin! Try to scrub twice a week.

Since using this scrub our skin has been smoother than ever. It feels so hydrated and healthy. It is so important to take the time to care for your body and scrubbing is definitely one of those important things to do. I am a busy mom of two little ones and prefer to do my scrubs at night after they are in bed and I have to admit that it has quickly become my favorite time of day. It is so relaxing and there just aren't words to explain how good my skin feels when I am done.

Do we have a favorite?! Nope! They are all amazing and smell wonderful! So if you can't decide which one you want, why not try them all?!

To purchase the scrubs and find out more information about each one be sure to visit

How I get my Exercise.

I'm so excited to share my exercise routine with you! I'm a girl who LOVES doing cardio. A good strength exercise is obviously good to add into the mixture but cardio motivates me the most and I need some motivation if I'm going to get myself to workout haha. I usually exercise at home, so dance workout videos are my go-to. I love dancing (can't dance but whatever; do what you love) and the energy and excitement that the workout team has is extremely encouraging. Heres what I do:

A PRE-WORKOUT SNACK
I NEED to eat something before I workout, especially if I'm working out in the morning. Exercising on an empty stomach makes me dizzy and affects my ability to give my all in a workout. You don't want to eat a full meal, just a little something to give you energy. My favorite pre-workout snack is a banana. If I don't have bananas, I'll munch on some nuts (my personal favorite are almonds.)

HIP HOP ABS
Hip Hop Abs: The Ultimate Ab Sculpting System by Beach Body, is hands down my favorite workout video! You'll definitely get good cardio exercise but you'll have fun doing it. Shaun T is hilarious, his team is so excited, and they get so into it, you can't help but give it your all.
There are three different dvds to rotate through so you aren't stuck doing the same routine everyday. My personal favorites are the Fat Burning Cardio and the Cardio Groove. They are all amazing though!!

THE BIGGEST LOSER: BOOT CAMP
The Biggest Loser: Boot Camp is another video that I do to change it up a bit. This video is the perfect mixture of cardio and strength (mixing the two burns more calories.) There are three different levels on the dvd and you slowly add each level to your workout as you get more in shape (they explain what to do.) I'm not going to lie, it gets pretty intense!

ZUMBA FITNESS 2
This Wii Zumba Fitness 2 is perfect for a good cardio workout because you are constantly moving! I know this isn't really a workout video, but it's a game and isn't that even better? You can create your own workouts by choosing the songs you like and how long you want to be dancing for, it even tracks the calories that you burned! You'll definitely get a good workout while having a blast!

PROTEIN SHAKE: MUSCLE MILK
At the end of every workout, I drink my all time favorite protein powder! I love Muscle Milk because, mixed with a little milk, it tastes like melted ice cream (maybe a little exaggerated but still, it tastes good) and I can't drink anything that tastes gross no matter how good it is for you. It's important to eat, or in this case drink, within a half hour after you've worked out so that your body can recover faster from the stress and muscle breakdown that took place during your workout. Also, you can improve your body composition by building more lean body mass and retaining less fat.

DRINK WATER
Last but not least, DRINK WATER! It's important to be drinking water during and after your workout. Lets be real, when is it not important to be drinking water?

I hope you enjoyed reading how I get my exercise and that you found something useful to add to your workout routine!
